Jeva Design Studio was born from a moment of transformation—when I realized my value was being overlooked, I chose to bet on myself. With 17 years in the industry and a background in studio art from NYU, I immersed myself in every aspect of decorative plaster, determined to build something better—not just a product, but a purpose.
I created SET Plaster as an artist-first solution: hand-applied, beautiful, and easy to use. It’s designed to empower creativity, deliver exceptional results quickly, and elevate the experience for clients, artists, and contractors alike. Every finish we craft blends unmatched craftsmanship, attention to detail, and high-end design.
At Jeva, we’re dedicated to building a community where passion and innovation thrive. We proudly support and empower women in our industry, celebrating their talent and contributions, while fostering an inclusive environment for all creative professionals. I poured my life savings, energy, and heart into creating a studio that nurtures creativity and delivers exceptional, customizable decorative finishes that truly transform spaces.

From working as a help desk assistant in the IT world to serving at one of the finest restaurants in the Big Apple, Nicole Ortega has brought her diverse experience and strong work ethic to her role as a studio assistant at Jeva Design. A devoted mother, Nicole approaches everything she does with dedication and resilience—qualities that shine especially bright in the face of New York City’s daily challenges.
Passionate about giving back, Nicole is committed to uplifting her local community and reminding others of the unique value they bring to the world. Her mission is to help bring people’s visions to life—no matter how big or small—ensuring everyone feels seen, heard, and inspired.

Yashira is a passionate, free-spirited artist from East Harlem, known for her love of creativity in all forms—from painting and music to culinary adventures. With a vibrant energy and a strong sense of community, she thrives in spaces where art, culture, and connection collide. Outside the studio, you’ll often find her at content and networking events, building relationships and finding inspiration everywhere she goes.

Jeva Design Studio is thrilled to have Monica Barnwell leading our sales team as Director of Sales. With a dynamic approach and a genuine passion for the products she represents, Monica stands out as a dedicated and engaged professional.

Bringing over 20 years of experience in sales and management, Monica has honed exceptional skills in communication and client relationship building, consistently setting the standard in her field. She is passionate about creating seamless, successful partnerships and looks forward to collaborating with you on your next project!

Shantae is a native New Yorker that like to sprinkle a little green on everything she touches. She is the sustainability lead a.k.a "green queen"at Jeva Design. Currently she is studying for her LEED Green Associate Accreditation.
She loves to connect her love of food, wellness people and planet and ever curious to see where it takes her. Happily championing for greener "now" and future.

Natalie Huaco is a multidisciplinary artist with a background in experiential design and wall finishes.
She has taken her extensive knowledge of form, color, and design and applied it to reimagining dwelling spaces with Jeva Design Studio.
